Measuring Guide
To provide the designer with accurate room measurements, follow these simple steps:
Draw the footprint of your room. Notate the placement of windows, doors, and any architectural feature.
Label the walls with North, South, East, West.
Measure the width and length of the room. Then measure each wall individually and be sure to include the measurements for each wall space, door, window, or other architectural feature.
For the doors, windows, and architectural features, please measure the openings as well as moulding/casings.
If you have a fireplace, please include the dimensions of the floor surround or hearth.
